Recently, we have studied the effect of transport forces on the protein composition of circulating extracellular vesicles in human blood. This project relied on a close collaboration with the Hematology Clinic of the University Hospital of Bern. We applied a multidisciplinary approach with clinical, physical and proteomics methods.
Furthermore, we study the protein composition of circulating extracellular vesicles isolated from blood plasma and bone marrow of myelodysplastic syndrome patients at different stages of the disease.
Last but not least, we constantly collaborate and consult with many life science groups at the University of Bern on their proteomics-related research questions.
