As part of the Universitätsklinik für Radio-Onkologie at Inselspital, Bern, we explore treatment strategies and biomarkers for cancer, in particular Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma which is our important research focus. We also work together with the Medová research group on the analysis of results from biological experiments studying DNA damage response and cancer radiotherapy resistance. Our expertise is particularly in modern omics-based techniques (genomics, phosphoproteomics, and single-cell measurements). We explore and design algorithms for, among others, differential expression analysis and fitting mutational signatures - see SigFitTest and ProtRank for examples.
